I'm very sorry to hear this. One of my little girls crossed the Rainbow Bridge a couple of weeks ago. I'm actually coming off a moment just now crying with her sister.

I was fortunate enough to have the people caring for her assist me in this, but I did consider Lap of Love in-home hospice and in-home euthanasia for a moment.

I am not sure what the prices would ultimately work out to be, and I know you said money is a consideration, but I wanted to leave the link for you just in case.

I would also suggest looking at their other resources for grief counseling, in particular the free online support groups. They have a number days and times. I did one last Saturday and plan on doing one again this Saturday (though I think all of the slots for it currently are filled).

Godspeed little one.

They have not been confirmed to be false in Pittsburgh. It's irresponsible to declare as such. I live less than a mile from the Pittsburgh call and I hear helicopters and sirens, and have received multiple EMS alerts.

For people downvoting: I was reporting what I knew to be true at the time of the comment I was replying to. At that time, nothing had been confirmed either way, and I was simply providing feedback as someone who's received multiple EMS alerts, as did my co-workers, and I'm literally still listening to helicopters in the air, even though yes, it's NOW since been confirmed to be a hoax. Good lord, people.

I'm a transplant but got to experience Eides when it was in the previous location one building over, and had all the AMAZING vintage posters, flyers, promo materials, etc, on the walls. Tons of great import versions of stuff that back then you'd have to buy online at CD Universe or CD Now.

To this day, I miss Altar Bar. 10 minute drive for me, easy parking, and a great view from my preferred perch up on the 2nd floor.

Now all the stuff that would go to Altar Bar goes out to Jergels which is far from being my favorite venue. Stuff I'd otherwise have gone to in a second at Altar Bar I now have to think on and that's 100% due to the fact that it's Jergels.

Loved Brave New World

I see Spahr and Rob at shows still, and I made it a point just a few months ago to let Sparh know how much BNW meant to me. I was only around for the last few years of its life, but I got a ton of great stuff there and they were always cool as hell to me.

In fact, the concert this was at was Raven (NWOBHM), and it was the guys at BNW back in the day who recommended which Raven album to start with (All For One).

My friends and I had a discussion recently after a trip to Columbus about how woefully underrepresented fast food chains are in Pittsburgh.

We have neither a Krystal nor a White Castle!

No Skyline Chili.

Even Burger King is weirdly sparse, as is Popeyes (yes, I know they're around, but you have to make a point to go to them).

Would also love some Southern staples like Bojangles and Zaxby's.
