If poll taxes (which are illegal) are fine with you, which constitutional right are you willing to give up in return?

I remember Trump claiming voter fraud in 2016 because he didn’t win the popular vote.

Well, FL and TX for starters. And Trumps bizarre video about “ending transgender” a week or two ago.

The Nazi’s didn’t start outright killing people. It was a slow burn. If you can’t see how the current GOP is going down the same path, you need to dust off a couple history books.

Just because you can’t change your shitty opinions doesn’t mean others can’t.

Directly in Reading, the school district isn’t very good. The surrounding suburbs have pretty decent schools though.

Add most of Shillington to the list. I’m on the south end of it. Nice little suburb of older semi detached or small single houses built in the late 1920-early 1930s. Most of them have been updated since then but not all of them are fully modern.

I pay a wage tax to work in Reading because I don’t live there. Is it like that for Philly? Live and work there, no tax, commute in, get taxed.
I haven’t actually worked in Reading for 3 years as I am remote now. I still pay it. Not gonna complain because I would like Reading to get it’s shit together.

For what it’s worth, that was almost 7 years ago after losing my brother to cancer. My life is mostly wonderful now. Therapy and medication have been incredibly helpful.

To quote Red in Shawshank Redemption “I’d like to think that the last thing that went through (their) head(s) other than (those) bullet(s)…” is how the hell did Trump’s loss get the best of them.

Bingo. First company I worked for after college was salary and my manager forced OT on shit that was his job.
Maybe a year into being there we get switched to hourly and suddenly he was on your ass to clock out. I left about a year later and shortly thereafter got a letter from the DOL that I could take legal action if I choose to. Would have cost me more to get a lawyer for what amounted to a couple grand so I didn’t bother.

Absolutely agree with that. I don’t give a shit if they don’t have their own police force in these places. If PSP is going to do local police work, they should be getting paid for it. But they just say “we can’t afford police, do it for us but we aren’t paying you.” Let ‘em rot. Public services require money to operate, they aren’t a fucking charity.

They either too dumb to realize cutting those taxes cuts their future payouts. Or they are already getting those payouts and don’t care they are pulling the ladder up behind them.
