Not at all. There are low cost data options out there. I didn’t have internet at my house for the first year and a half, just used my phone. Would that be an option? Ditching the cable internet (I’d guess Comcast in Reading - I’m just a couple miles outside of the actual city and I’m stuck with them) might be something to consider if you haven’t already.
I would also never hurt a dog much less shoot one. I’m sorry you are in a bad spot now and I hope it does get better for you. I know Cartech is hiring pretty much constantly and the pay is good. Might be worth a look if you need a leg up financially. I apologize for coming off harsh, it was not my intent. I wish you a Merry Christmas and hope things start looking up for you.

Reducing poverty tends to reduce homelessness.
And this person is trying to help. If your first thought “how can I make this person seem like an asshole?” - it might be you who is the asshole.

The person doing the scheduling should be accountable personally for either being ignorant of or just straight up ignoring the law. This isn’t just a “whoopsie”. There should be criminal charges.

When I see a spade, I call it a spade. When I see a shit take, I call it a shit take. I’m not starting a fight by telling you that your comparison is absolutely meaningless and has no merit. I’m simply expressing that the comparison you made has no logic whatsoever to it.

The amount sent to Ukraine is nothing compared to PPP and the stimulus checks which (expect one stimulus check) happened under Trump. The guy who promised to eliminate the federal debt and ended up adding significantly to it.
You don’t know fuck all about economics, just what talking head economics have to say. Here’s a hint - those talking heads want your money and will lie to you in order to get it.

Just because Trump told you there was cheating doesn’t mean there was. Republicans are playing their supporters like fiddles. Only the most gullible believe the stolen election bullshit. Problem is, there are far too many gullible people.

I’ll second this. I’m south a couple miles out in Shillington. Have friends that actually live in West Reading. Really cool little area.
If OP wants to be in the city though - Reading probably isn’t the place to go.

They asked me “xxxx street, right?” Didn’t ask for the number. I don’t recall being asked that before but it didn’t seem nefarious. They were using a new electronic system for signatures so I am thinking they were more trying to make sure their info in the system was correct. I didn’t really think much of it.

Well, uranium wins most efficient by weight - with an insanely huge margin. Of course the cost per kilowatt also knocks that right back down.
Fracking is pretty damn bad for the environment, and that’s the main extraction method here in PA. So that impact is a factor as well and should be included.
For industry we’ll need coal - it’s required to make coke which is then used to make steel. Using coal for energy is bad for the environment, but necessary for other things as a raw resource (like gold for computer chips).
Solar and wind are helpful and we should work towards them. But we do need a base load that can provide extra power when renewables can’t meet demands due to the weather.
Nuclear power is much safer and efficient now. Every significant accident was due to old technology. We’ve learned a lot from those that did happen and aren’t that dumb anymore.
Didn’t really write this out in any particular order. That said, all things considered my thoughts are we should be aiming for solar and wind as well as we can, and have nuclear as a base load. Ramp up the nuclear plants as needed to adjust for renewables if their capacity is lost temporarily. It’s the only long term solution I can see working. Good luck convincing the short sighted corporations and governments of the world that though.

So only white male landowners can vote.
And you wonder why “WE” voted how “WE” did. You’ve lost no rights, just the same your perceived right to discriminate as you see fit and have power over the people you disagree with.
I’d say get fucked, but you probably haven’t in a decade and are miserable about it.
