I'm probably just going to get a bike or nothing at all. I don't need it, it's a convenience.

I haven't owned my scooter for more than a year. There were lots of people on the corner, I knew I wasn't going to be long, I parked it outside of a bank, and the thief broke the scooter itself to steal it. I incorrectly assumed that I could go for ten/fifteen minutes in the middle of the day in the middle of a city with it locked.

Thanks a bunch for victim-blaming and calling me stupid. I know I fucked up and I feel awful enough about it already.
