I think you can go even lower on your living expenses if there are bunkbeds and you don't mind sleeping in the room in shifts. Not kidding. This happens all the time in immigrant communities.

You're really pushing your budget buying such luxury items like eggs.

Wait. So when you need to do your business in the bathroom, ie. doing #2 do you take the TP from your room to the bathroom everytime or you just don't care & just leave the TP in the bathroom?

Reply to Office-to-residential conversion growing steam in NYC; 3 Bronx community boards join the ‘movement’ — Bronx Times by BronxTimes
Easier said than done. How much is it going to cost for the conversion? Are the developers going to get that conversion money back from the rent they're going to charge? If it's not worth it to the developers that empty office space is going to sit empty or until it's torn down.

If the apartment is in a building with four or more units, the landlord has to give his or her consent for it be legal. In all likelihood it sounds like a scam. If you pay that money, you're never going to see that "refundable" deposit & 1st month's rent.

The NYTimes got rid of their "Metro" section years ago. They left such insignificant trifling to the NY Post and NY Daily News and if you ask me Daily News have given up news in NYC as well.

Did you make over $100k during those years? I think it's time to get back into that game if you ask me.
