You know that's not true. Why say such a horrible thing? So much hatred in this forum, sadly. I weep for your country.

Huh? I don't understand. I'm asking someone familiar with the local culture to explain why an African theme is "racist". What you are asking is a whole other level, and I know nothing about it, sorry.

When I hear "there is no denying this", it sounds like a statement of faith, and no evidence is needed or will be listened to. That is bad. OK, I know Florida has a bad reputation, and I have no reason to defend them. But is that all we are going on? Why make such a blanket generalisation? What evidence? (I'm not there so a real question.) How is that sort of comment any different to race-based comments?

Hanlon's razor applies. But can somebody please explain simply to this poor foreigner why it could be "horrible racism"? Black History Month is intended to highlight the history of Blacks in the US, do I understand correctly? So the Africa theme misses the point perhaps, but why "racist"? (Keep it simple, I'm not up with the local politics)

You know what else is "made with real fruit"? Fruit.

Reply to eli5 what is the point of therapy? by dumbass__stupid
The question confused me. Reading the answers, I think OP means a psychologist, right?
Is that an American thing, to equate therapist with mental health? I think of somebody you see after an injury, like a "physio" or OT - occupational therapist.

Deepwater ports!? Civilisation began in the fertile crescent, where there were not a lot of glaciers, and spread largely by conquest. Ancient empires barely had seagoing vessels, let alone any use for deepwater ports, which is a very recent development.
More recently, these empires spread to the New World and Australia , while Africa remained the "Dark Continent". The reasons Arabs and Europeans failed to make headway into sub-Saharan Africa are documented in the history books. On the science side, one big breakthrough was anti-malarial drugs.

Is that the same as saying the numbers have different units?
One is dollars, the other is dollars per year, and the time length is somewhat arbitrary. Market cap is not even real money.

Well, in scientific language the maths *is* the theory. You mean "not just the hypothesis", right?

smaller batteries? Do you mean cells?

Reply to Radon is a monatomic gas, but its decay products are solids. After a decay, what happens to the individual atoms of the daughter elements? Do they stay suspended in the atmosphere or slowly rain out? by foodtower
Do the decay products even form isolated atoms?
When the radon nucleus splits, do its electrons stick with the smaller nucleuses?
I'd have thought they are ions, which would be likely to bind to molecules in the air before collecting enough free electrons to become an atom.
