Hi, so

  1. Make sure you get a home energy assessment before minsplits. This is required for the whole home $10k rebate and you have to us install any weatherizing opportunity they identify. heat pump rebate page as a multi fam bldg you may pay nothing for weatherization but it depends on a few other factors.

  2. Mass Save is just the program they are not a contractor. Not sure who came to your house but they are likely a Mass Save partnering contractor. You can use any hvac contractor that’s signed up with the program find a contractor

  3. The $10k rebate is for installing heat pump load enough to replace your heat system. whole home verification form

  4. You can include some of the cost of the panel upgrade in your loan heat loan page also once you choose a quote from a contractor you apply for the heat loan. They’ll subtract the eligible rebate amount from your authorized letter application. You’ll pay the $10k up front then apply for the money back after

Other than the loan and rebates not sure there’s anything else through the program to help but make sure to look into the Inflation Reduction Act incentives to. Doubt you can purchase the units for them to install. Have to work that with your contractor probably.

Had this setup in our apartment. One furnace in center of apartment plus and old stove heater in the kitchen. At least it was gas and not oil. It had a small knob on it with numbers 1-5. Worked ok. Put our bedroom in the room closed to to the furnace and left the door open.
