I have family in southern Maine and have visited. It's a hard no. Sad small dreary little cages.

I would say Natick is a nice in between. You will have a bit of a commute to Norwood from Marlborough.

The cost of living in or around Lexington might give you a small heart attack :) Lexington, Concord,, Andover, Arlington, Cambridge. Wayland...all pricey... but really nice places to live.
Maybe Waltham.

I live in Newton and love it. Great schools-A rated, nice walkability, the trains right into the city. Longwood is a quick drive. Plenty of parks and playgrounds. Lots of young families and working professionals. Each little village has its own center, shops and restaurants...its a nice place to live.

Natick is a small community-a town, not a big city.
You will have no problem

Natick is great. Very family friendly. You shouldn't have any issues.

It all depends on what your looking for. I would say minimum 4500+ but there are different sections of Newton and you might find what your looking for for less. Depends what you want-a yard, a garage, small rooms, modern etc...
If you do get into Newton, its a great place to live. Lots to do, A rated schools, public transportation, lots of young families, parks, restaurants etc...
good luck!

I live and Newton and it has everything your looking for-but 3.5K is a push to rent a house here. An apt is doable but a house might be tough...but never say never. Might want to look further as others have suggested-maybe Natick or Waltham.
Good luck and welcome!

Reply to Looking for an eye care provider that offers optomap retinal imaging instead of dilation by catfarmer1998
My Eye Dr offers Optomap for $40 and I believe they have locations all over MA. Just google them. I had it done in Newton and it was so easy-so much better than dilation. I think they take Mass Health.
Good luck!
