Reply to Taking the 11 year old to DC today and tomorrow (Presidents’ Day) for birthday trip - what are must dos for the young one? by jornor
If she’s old enough to bike, you can see a little of everything in a day. Thats what I always suggest to family/friends/patrons. Start at The Jefferson and follow the water. Hit a U at the Lincoln and head back up to the Capitol.

DC is not very big land area wise. A few mile radius covers large swaths of the city. You can even venture out to Arlington. There is a Sheraton on Columbia Pike and Washington Blvd with generous and relatively cheap parking that is a six minute drive from the Lincoln Memorial. If your main needs are parking and proximity I would choose there.

Then why is anything else open? There is a crime problem. There has never not been a crime problem. There is never not gonna be a crime problem. Business in the city is always gonna be the best long term option. When you open a business you gotta be able to perservere through it and stick around long enough to see it get better. Kinda how everyone that tucked tail in the 80s left collective hundreds of trillions on the table.

It had many uses. But, to park your hard earned dollars at an unregulated fund speculating on crypto is insane.

The bank can loan about ten dollars for every dollar deposited. They loan you back credit at interest which you must pay real money back on.

I know basic geography enough to know that Im in dc and you are afraid to be. I know basic history enough to know that people like you avoid conflict unless you can rabble rouse anonymously. I know basic psychology enough to know that you think you can hide how pathetic you are behind big bad racism. Im not afraid of you. I know Im smarter than you. You aren’t safe from your own insecurity no matter how many more rivers you cross.

Who is we? Why are you suddenly typing in all caps? Why are you using dog whistles anonymously instead of saying exactly how you feel? Why are you so classically cowardly about everything?
