So they could have the piggy bank joke.

Andy in The Office = I don't know what it is about him, I think it may have to do specifically with Ed Helms' performance, but he feels so forced and out of place. His humor never really felt organic in the show.

Ramsay Bolton - Flays people alive, hunts women with dogs for fun, enjoys inflicting mental and physical torture.

Supernatural - The original creator planned for 5 seasons, but the show kept going up until season 15.
They went from fighting the Devil and stopping the apocalypse to having to fight God's sister, then God himself, who is also the writer of Supernatural (a series of books within the show). Some people loved the whole meta concept, I hated it.

Reply to Setups that ultimately went nowhere. by Pr0blemD0g
Charmed season 2 had a little girl named Jenny who lived next door to the Halliwells. The character was even featured in the opening title credits, so you think she's like a main character for that season....only she just barely appears in a handful of episodes and then is written off. Apparently, they realised early on that her character didn't add anything to the storylines.

Reply to The trope of dropping a mostly non-plot related flashback or side story episode right after a major plot point. Good or Bad? (General spoilers) by logicalnoise
Baaaaaaaaaad. It's very frustrating for a viewer and just comes across as gimmicky. That Stranger Things one was particularly annoying and the funny thing is they released all the episodes at once so it wasn't like you had to wait a week, but it was still annoying because it ruined the momentum.
I've said it before but I think the major issue with The Last of Us is a structure problem.

Reply to What's with the impatience that leads many to ask if a show "gets better" after just the first few episodes? by TheShowLover
I do ask this from time to time, I just wanna see if it's worth my time continuing. For example, I watched the first 6 episodes of Mad Men. They weren't bad, but I asked someone when does it pick up? He said, "you've watched 6 episodes, it's already there, if you're not into it, then it's not for you."
I appreciated his response and didn't continue. Some things just don't hook you right away, it's nice to know from viewers if things do pick up at a certain point or even if you get to episode X and you still aren't invested quit. It's all about not wasting my time so I can move on to a show that will hook me.

I'm not a Superman fan, but I loved Smallville. The first 7 seasons at least. I'd say watch the first episode, if you think it sucks, don't watch anymore, if you enjoy it, keep going.

Reply to Andor is a brilliant show which is somewhat going under the radar for a Star wars show by [deleted]
I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I love George's 1-6 movies, warts and all.
Mandalorian is a nice slice of Star Wars but an otherwise mediocre show at best.
Book of Boba Fett is easily the worst thrown together....material Disney have released.
Obi-Wan Kenobi was a big disappointment.
Now...were at the point of Andor and I just don't care.

Reply to How are you liking Season 3 of The Mandalorian so far? by esran7
If you strip away the Star Wars paint....This show would be considered terrible. Dialogue is mostly just exposition, there's barely anything resembling character to any of the characters.
Everything is shot in a compact environment, surrounded by digital screens, there's no depth to any of the environments. Then there's these weird moments, that feel like it's an amateur, fan film production, like in the most recent episode when the pirates are overtaking the town and one of the pirates is roughing up a citizen...I swear he pushes him over in the most gentlest way possible.
It's just a bit laughable....How do we display these new pirate characters reprehensible behavior without them harming any civilians??? Oh, I got it...They wanna drink in a school.
