Whether a bank will cash a check is also dependent on how much you have in that bank. They’re unlikely to immediately cash it if you don’t have at least that much in the account.

Not until you sell it. On a given year, you will deduct the purchase price of the property (minus land value), divided by 17.5 I believe. IRS uses a depreciation schedule of 17.5 years for real property.

Remember the big tax savings, depreciation of the property.

Waiving inspections is not a big deal if you have a clue what you’re doing.

Getting new quotes is totally smart. But, 26% is quite honestly a reasonable jump given the current economic climate.

I’m confused what’s hard to buy about there being legitimate supply chain and price increases on parts and labor?

Reply to "You'll make more money working 3yrs at a company and then jumping to a new company negotiating a higher salary than just staying at 1 company and taking your annual raises each year" by CasualFridays047
Doesn’t this kind of make logical sense? If a company wants to hire you, they’re going to have to offer a compelling reason. If I’m content with my job, I’m. It leaving for a 10% raise. Heck, I don’t think I’d leave for a 20% raise.
I do however think employers can retain employees with a combination of benefits. If you have a good salary package, then combine with extremely flexible work schedules and good benefits, you don’t need to offer over the moon raises yearly.

Is this why a local flipped a shit on me for going like 25 over in WY? Which is a completely normal speed back east.

I’m an east coast resident. 30+ over is extremely normal. The speed limits are ungodly slow on highways. Go elsewhere and people think you’re a maniac because they aren’t used to it.

Another point here is that self employed folks get a better advantage from home ownership in most states due to SALT work around. Unsure if OP is, but with that income it wouldn’t surprise me.
