Might lead to a new problem... Someone driving a car when a false crash alert goes off gets distracted by it and ends up having an actual crash.

It's not a terrible idea, but without being thoroughly thought out it's not a great idea either.

Upper F keys aren't well supported in some applications, having 4 media keys might actually work nicely.

Why not go up to F16?

Also would you consider modifying it to use readily available key sets ? The 1.25 U keys on the edges are going to be a challenge to source.
