That was an incredible read. Wow.

Edit: There were two weird feelings reading this. First, wondering, "why don't they keep production teams together? Surely that matters?" Does anyone know? Second, what if they let those two guys become 'Miyazakis' - turn the Florida Studio into something totally other that can do those things. Let them go and see what happens?

One day the weather went bad and I was the lone student pilot in a room full of twin turbine military pilots. We talked about the differences in our worlds and it seemed to come down to airspace and controllers.

To my surprise, they found flying into uncontrolled airports quite uncomfortable. In their own words, it seemed like they were much more directed, than self-directed.

Does it seem like that from the Controller's point of view?

Others have pointed out the Korean War had not technically ended. If North Korea did attack Japan, depending on the United Nations declaration that led to combat, the war may simply continue due to a violation of the armistice.

In this case, America would be vulnerable as an existing combatant. At the same time, America could strike as an existing combatant.

Are we really this close to a hot war? Anyone know better?
