It does feel like some mental gymnastics. I always understood field work as work in the speciality that you’re studying. Never thought of it in the vein these people seem to be thinking about it.

Homonyms are a thing and “field” is one of them.

I thought I was going crazy. I just saw a floor plan for a new construction the other day and it said something like “owner’s” bed and bath. I was so confused. I don’t see the point tbh. Owner doesn’t seem much better than master.
