BNAS would still be useful in an all-out scenario, because you know damn well the government would take it back over if they had to (all the facilities are still there, as is the long runway).
But barring that, a lot of BIW's infrastructure and work-force are located from Brunswick to Wiscasset so ... might as well be thorough.

Damn, I only speak gutter Orcish - missed opportunity there.
All kidding aside, this is awesome. I hope this subreddit gets some pictures once this thing happens - and most of all, congratulations!

Kennebec Meat Co. in Bath often puts in orders for Wagyu - and I can't recommend them enough for their other offerings.

I disagree to some extent here. I live in Brunswick and have had to ride the train down several times, mostly very early in the morning (through to North Station). I've been almost alone on the train, but I've also seen it quite crowded. The bulk of the ridership on the southbound trip definitely boards in Portland, though.
With that being said I'll jealously guard my ability to board the train less than a mile from my house in Brunswick ... I just wish it didn't stop a hundred times on the trip to Boston effectively making the trip an hour longer than driving or taking a Concord Coach.

Reply to Huge National Park suggested for around Katahdin. by Camooses
Absolutely click-bait article, and old .. but my thoughts have always been conflicted.
As someone with a family camp on Millinocket Lake and who spends weeks up north in and around KW&W and BSP .. I would very much like to continue to enjoy my time up there in almost complete solitude. Just me, the brook trout, and every type of blood sucking insect there is.
On the other hand .. I would love to see the local economy up there get a boost. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but the KW&W monument has been a good thing for the town - but it's definitely not enough to replace what Great Northern left behind. But I also don't think a Yogi Bear National Park is the answer.
