Reply to How does iCloud work? by Zaorth
iCloud syncs all changes. You delete a photo from your iPhone, it's automatically deleted from iCloud. If you're looking to free up space, turn on Optimize iPhone Storage in Photos Settings. This will save full copies of photos in iCloud while saving low-quality versions on your phone, freeing up space.

Yes, I am. It prevents access to personal data. So you could give someone the phone, and they would need to erase it to sell it, removing your personal data.

Yeah. You act like it can't get stolen because it's never happened. It's your phone though, so I guess enjoy it while you can.

You’re gonna come crying back when your phone is stolen and sold as unlocked because there was no passcode. Ah well, I guess this is what I get for trying to help someone…

No. You need a passcode as a backup. Have you never tried looking at a user guide? Or are you high on something?

In this day and age, not having a passcode on your phone could lead to all of your personal information being stolen and leaked if your phone is ever stolen from you.

You don’t. You set up the code, then use Touch/Face ID for authentication.

All you’ve got to do is remember a code and set up Touch/ Face ID. It’s not rocket science.
