Tidally locked and not rotating are 2 different things. The Moon is tidally locked to the Earth so we only see one face. The Moon rotates once every 27 days and orbits us once every 27 days. Mercury is tidally locked to the Sun.

Pick up a ball and have it "orbit" a lightbulb at home. A solar day (noon to noon) should be a year.

"Dark side" of the moon is a misnomer. All sides receive the same amount of sunlight. It's just generally people automatically assume the far side is always dark, and movies don't help.

OK, curious: Fluid Dynamics can be broken down to (among others) aerodynamics (gas) and hydrodynamics (liquid), or pneumatics (gas) and hydraulics (liquid). So what do Norwegians call "Fluid Dynamics" and what you you break it down to?

I fell like I'm delving into the American debate/argument that there is a difference between an engine and a motor. In most languages, when you translate "engine" it becomes motor.

I'm also reminded of the "stoner" meme that keeps popping up here: do crabs think fish can fly? Well, it's fluid dynamics. If humans think birds fly, sure crabs think fish fly.

I can't remember the last time I had arancini! Nonna never served them like that though. Uncle once said nonna & nonno would make extra arancini when they went to Lago di Garda and sell them...and now I'm crying.

I thought this story sounded familiar. 2019, Drunk History did an episode on National Parks and covered how Marjory Stoneman Douglas was an author/ journalist/activist that helped save the Everglades. Her 1947 book, The Everglades: River of Grass , was influential in getting people to stop looking at the area as useless swamp.
