When I first moved here from the West Coast I was such an anxious driver because the street layouts and local driving habits where so foreign to me and so I always had a lot of patience for someone being a dumbass on the road bc the people here were so patient with me when I was a dumbass. However after a year of driving around here I've come to realize some people just drive like that and will never change.

Whatever you decide make sure you have 4X of the rent up front bc landlords typically want first, last, and security deposit which is fine but something that was a rude shock to me was the broker's fee which was not avoidable even if I found the listing myself online. That one is just gone forever with no chance of getting it back. Top floor units are vacant far less than bottom floor for the noise issue. Top floor also tends to have better "perks" in multifamily homes bc you get private attic storage and everyone below you heats your apartment floors. That being said, noise is the nature of housing in Cambridge. Everything is old as fuck and there is no sound padding. Get a good pair of headphones or some white noise machines (we have them naturally bc I'm allergic to cats yet own one so I have air purifiers everywhere).

I buy a different brand of good quality eggs called Happy Eggs and yes there’s a huge different in taste. The eggs are richer and taste more eggy so to speak. Like if you go back to the 3$ factory farm eggs they taste like neutral protein like tofu by comparison. Yolk is deep red orange which helps the eat with our eyes factor too. I buy these eggs to eat as a main course. They are very good if you make runny ramen eggs but also if you want to make egg salad with half hard cooked eggs. If I’m baking or making batter or otherwise mixing the eggs into something to use as filler I use cheap eggs.

We went on a walk there this weekend and I saw a confused car turn right into the bike lane instead of the road which the caused 3 cars to follow them and then there was a line of 4 cars driving in the Brattle bike lane. 3 of them panicked and exited at the first break in the blocks but the first car just kept driving down the bike lane as if they didn't notice anything wrong. I know they look a little ugly but I think the cement blocks should have the taller toblerone blocks installed on top to make them more visible in the snow and safe for the cyclists. A lost driver also might hesitate to turn into the bike lane if it's so obviously walled off

If you are open minded Fly Together Fitness in Somerville is a kick ass pole fitness studio. Ultra inclusive of gender and body size and I personally think very friendly to people who are "weak" lmao. I couldn't lift anything beyond 35 lbs and now I can pull my body up a pole with ease after 6 months of classes. Also the vibes are very good for low confidence athletes. students and teachers alike encouraging each other. Sometimes you spend all class trying to achieve a trick and when you finally do you will usually hear someone in the background be like oh shit you did it and start clapping lol

Regardless of if you have an interest in pole fitness, consider a "hobby" body training sport like pole dance or rock climbing or break dancing or something similar. I find that when you have the ability to focus on more concrete goals other than "make my body stronger" like I want to land this trick or I want to climb this level it can make it so much easier to stick to it. I've started and quit exercising my whole life until I picked up a hobby sport rather than just weight training
