I decided to install MMCX adapters on KSC75 drivers and keep KPH40 drivers on the stock flat cable because it’s nice enough and semi-interchangeable. I’m also using KPH40 drivers for my smaller mobile builds with the KSC75 ear clips and the Porta Pro headband. Since the stock KPH40 cable is a bit lighter and more simplistic than an MMCX it makes sense for that use case.

Edit - The red and blue bits are part of the new rhythm beige KPH40.

So, you flipped your KSC75 drivers onto your KPH40 headband and love it. Naturally, you then swapped your KPH40 drivers onto your KSC75 ear clips and they’re fine. But, here’s the secret sauce - Chunky pads.

These $3 “Luxurious” eBay/Aliexpress pads from China are the chunkiest I could fit on the KSC75 ear clips. They’re roughly the same width as Yaxi pads but almost twice as thick. Fortunately, they’re also super squishy since you really have to squeeze your ears in. They might look ridiculous but they sound great.

The squeeze creates a seal that’s crucial for sound quality. These fatties really rumble. A fun side piece to the super tight KSC75. Could the KPH40/KSC75 be the best price-performance duo in the audio world?
