Yeah didn’t I read that the military kept asking for no more new tanks, that the military wanted to shift that money into purchasing different systems but that Congress kept mandating the production of new tanks to keep the jobs flowing in their districts. I thought we were swimming in unwanted excess tanks.

This exactly. We all be it mad she didn’t push harder. She pushed harder and now look where she is.

We sometimes forget that progress isn’t won overnight and push regimes that might have moved forward slowly into a corner that forces a coup and a big step backward.

She is in prison now for reaching too far and we have the audacity to sit in our armchairs and criticize her for not reaching far enough.

We did something similar with points as camp counselors and honestly the authority figures just want to motivate the children to act right. We didn’t really care who had the most points. So it came out pretty fair.

There was an inflation that started as the kids got points (that we just made up) they became less willing to seek more points unless the same tasks offered more point than before. Maybe just a quirk of human nature.

To be fair they were also roaming at night when they defeated voldy so they should have lost an additional 150 points as well.
