I don't think Lego US does any engineering. At least I didn't see any jobs on their website, just marketing, retail logistics, etc. The engineering is probably all done in Denmark and the US office is just sales

The original charter of the Massachusetts colony was basically this - the borders extended west forever.

Whoever made this doesn't understand map projections. Ventura, CA is not directly west of Boston.

Because it's no exaggeration at all. The US supreme court ruled that police have no obligation to help people or protect them from harm. That's a fact.

I believe that's what the cheapest option usually is. As for making money, the fines go towards the subsidized plans for lower income. So the state's not exactly making money off of it, but they're still basically taking money from poor people to pay other poor people.

The fine is half the cost of the cheapest plan, so in theory someone could afford the fine but not the plan. And the fine drops to $0 if your income is low enough.
I agree it's a pretty terrible system though, IMO the state should cover a basic plan for everyone, and if people want a fancier one, they can pay the difference.

You can get IoT water sensors that will actually alert you if there's a leak (rather than needing to check a camera).

By the time you're paying, the person behind you has probably already ordered. You don't pay right when you order
