I'm sure you've spent a lot of time coding everything to work properly, but the style, layout, & color theory could use some tweaking to really make the app shine.

This is a pretty cool idea. I instinctively wished that as I zoomed into an area it repopulated with the biggest stories of that locale. I understand as a developer myself that this could be tricky, but overall I like the idea.
