Lol this dude is a 24 year old former promoter born into a family worth multiple millions and is bitching about not getting a dirt cheap apartment to live by himself in after living at home his whole life?
Fuck off with that, maybe he can affect some real change given his position but I highly doubt it.

Reply to Bill to ban youth tackle football in New York state has been a decade in the making — Bronx Times by BronxTimes
I agree with banning tackle football for children, it leads to more skill development and removes the "I'm bigger therefore I'm unstoppable" nature that peewee football tends to fall into.
Hockey doesn't allow checking until age 13, with the increasing restrictions placed on physical play at higher levels it's allowed for way more skilled players. The same thing is happening with football, and it needs to as players are way bigger and faster today than they were just 20 years ago.

Just an FYI, if both individuals make $150k and choose to max out their 401k's assuming a 6% match, they'll be taking home between $14-$15k a month.
That's a 20% savings rate already, then you have an additional $10k after rent to live on. Anyone without other debts or obligations making that kind of money should be saving quite a bit.

$4k in rent is equivalent to like a $650k house outside of the city, so it's not like there's really much of an option either way. You obviously get way more space outside, but people paying that rent for a 1br aren't having kids anytime soon.

Not sure if you've looked recently, but most of the 1br in lower Manhattan that are big enough for 2 people if one is WFH are going for that much. Not even luxury buildings, just 600 sq ft co-ops built in the 60s
