The ICC would prosecute American politicians and presidents if it followed the rule of law, so of course the US will never sign on to it.

Every table has a card to write food/drink orders on at any time during the movie. You press a button on the table, they crouch walk to you, grab the card, and crouch walk off. You can use that card to report people. I’ve been to Alamo 15-20 times, never once had an issue with a customer being noisy or on their phone.

It’s why Alamo Drafthouse is the only place to see a movie. Patrons get one warning for talking or using their phone during the movie, after that they are kicked out with no refund. It’s impossible for me to go to any other theater now because Alamo is so quiet and peaceful.

Well they were right, it was the Great Depression and due to radio, “talkies,” and other changes in technology a lot of musicians lost their performing jobs.

There was the AFM recording ban in the early 1940s, basically no music was recorded for over a year.

I like in Xfiles if you pay close enough attention you start to see a handful of actors play new roles season to season, to fill out a character who only is in one episode. The doctor becomes the cop becomes the scientist, etc…

Music store employees led me to Sun Ra and Col Bruce Hampton, and that music completely changed my life. Bummer that that is so rare now.

Reply to TIFU by leaving my clothes unattended at the laundromat by PurplePhoenix77
Similar-ish thing happened to me, stepped outside for a bit. Came back and the owner/manager had taken my clothes out of the washer, mixed it in with other people’s clothes he had also taken out of washers, and it was drying in several machines all over the Laundromat. I asked other customers what happened, started having to stop and pick through several dryers to recover maybe half of my clothes as the rest had virtually disappeared.
Yelled at the owner manager as my clothes had maybe been sitting finished in a washing machine for an additional five minutes at most. He blamed me as if it was my fault for not immediately removing my laundry when they were done.
