Biased because I used to work there but Mamadou’s Bakery is the best. He doesn’t have the variety as other bakeries mentioned. But that’s because it’s just him and whoever is his helper.

Everything he makes is incredible and authentic. Every French ex-pat I’ve talked to who knows about Mamadou’s approves.

Go for a walk/hike in the Fells. It’ll keep you busy for as long as you want. I recommend bringing a backpack with a thermos for hot chocolate and some food to eat as you explore. There are nice 20 minute walks and longer “hikes” that can take up your whole day. (They’re not actually strenuous but definitely more than just walking)

Get yourself a bboy sandwich at Jim’s Market afterwards

Steriti rink in the North End is my go-to. It’s an indoor rink but it’s free if you bring skates and not too crowded. Best part is you can go walk around the North End afterwards and Bova’s is right next to it.

Otherwise the rink at the Common is a classic but gets crowded.

I would look up random ponds near roads on google maps and drive out. Winter pond near woburn for example is a popular pond skating spot. Only go if the snow is already cleared/people are skating.
