You're missing the point. The only people who are able to take the job at that pay are people who are independently wealthly or do not need to otherwise work. These groups don't tend to be truly representative of the population. Raising the salary to a point that *typical" people are able to quit their job and run would be how you get a truly representative group.

My mom's house!! Obviously! Jk.

saw Adriana's... that's really good. Luce in Hamden. Pellicci's in Stamford. We were really disappointed by Goodfellas in new haven, a lot of people do like it.

Not sure about the gymnastics. It's takes two branches to get laws through.

From 1991-2010 there was a republican gov and democratic legislature. Since 2011, Democrats hav held controlled both .

Starting in 2011, the state started getting under control. Spot the subtle difference....

Dannel Malloy (D) won the 2010 election. Jodi Rell (R) from 04-11 John Rowland (R) 95-04 Lowell Weicker (technically I... But actually Republican) 91-95 Before getting back to William A. O'Neill (D)... But go ahead and let me know where you might need help. I don't judge, numbers are really hard for some people.

Soooo.. you have from 91 -11 (I'll do the math for you since you are a fan of numbers...20 years) with a republican governor, but a democratic legislature where debt was consistently a problem. And 11 years where Dems have controlled the governor and legislature and have whittled the debt down to the point that CT is one of the top states in this regard. And yet, you are going to point to the time when Democrats didn't control the state government as your argument against Democrats??

There are a lot of sports at the XL center, especially with UConn hockey there now too. So limited date availability might play into it a bit? But I think others have said it.... Mohegan and foxwoods can offer artists more money because they aren't just the arena, they will make money from all the restaurants, hotels and gambling from the concert attendees. xL makes money from tickets and concessions only

From my father in law...

It is called a smoke guard. Mine has adjustable extensions so it fits most fireplaces around my size. Most fireplace dealers would know because it is a common problem. But if you go for that option, bring a photo and measurements. It may be the case that the metal frame front you have will make it difficult for an adjustable guard like mine to be really effective against escaping smoke. The ends of mine press against the side wall of the fireplace and the top presses against the underside of the bricks forming the inside top. If that seal is not tight you could still get smoke in the house. There may be other ways to seal it.

It might not be anything you are doing wrong. The fireplace might not be constructed properly. My father in law had to install some sort of plate on top in front because the same thing was happening and it worked like a charm. Not sure what that piece is called though.
