I don't know. Maybe not everything can be displayed with a single value. Maybe some things are so complex that we must describe them in more detail, and maybe some things shouldn't be ranked.

So they say that when the wind blows, they can generate up to 63 GW from wind power (that's what capacity means). What's wrong with that? Of course they have to rely on other energy sources when there's no wind.

I don't get this. USSR disappears in '90, China passes Germany in around '95 (according to this graph). Shouldn't Germany then be in third place in the first half of the 90s?

Am I the only one who finds the presentation quite interesting? It is surprising, and the scrolling down forces you to realise how many languages there are in India that the average Westerner has never heard of. I wouldn't call it beautiful, but it's creative and thought-provoking. Way better than just another ugly pie chart.

Why are you being downvoted? Charts like this are practically useless. They only show you with absolute certainty that Sweden is way more democratic than Sudan... and to know that, you don't need a chart.
