I get that Lee might be invested in the idea that Syed is to blame, but he is not the judge or a jury. So why does he need time to be there at all. If she had no family at all, this would be over.
Can anyone explain it like I’m five? Why does a relative’s ability to attend a hearing ( or anything else having to do with them ) have any effect on the case?
