Reply to GPT-4 poses too many risks and releases should be halted, AI group tells FTC. by VAMSI_BEUNO
People on here are all completely distracted by Elon, as if all this is a ploy of some kind. Yet almost nobody read the underlying papers about (for instance) the power-seeking behaviour raw GPT-4 showed.

There is literally a robots.txt which can prevent robots from crawling websites, and then people complain robots crawled websites.... go figure.

I suspect you need to 3d scan the surroundings and approve the place its gonna land. Consumers might even be made liable in case something was in the way.
This is WAY better than having a full sized drone trying to land.
But yeah, it might need some emergency release mechanism if it does get tangled. You don't want anyone be able to take down the big drone.

Trains are always gonna be more efficient. Just imagine a town with a cute small railway going to every house <3

Bing chat seems to be something in between 3.5 and 4... but also with a bigger but worse dataset or something.
Edit: I was wrong, bing uses gpt 4.

What they are doing isn't far ahead of what is already in the open. Their performance can be easily be explained by quality data + shitton of gpus and good controls (to prevent weird shit).
The more logical explanation is that they wanna sell this as soon as possible before it's in the open.

Total cost of ownership is lower for a mac than a pc. If your business can run on macs.... i'm not sure why you would choose pc. Maybe because people love the sound of fans?

If enough people buy the machines, they really don't care what the people say who do not buy the machines ;)

That would reduce the bandwidth between the CPU and RAM. Makes more sense to be able to plug in more/new cpus
