Elon Musk supports fascism and this is a common fascist tactic. He accuses people of silencing free speech and that he's a free speech absolutist but he's always looking to squash speech.

Was just about to say this.
I'm honestly surprised this hasn't happened before; but willing to bet that since it's clear that the US has no intention of addressing the problem it will probably be pretty common for bad actors outside the US will engage in this tactic.
Now that bad actors in foreign countries know that the US doesn't give a fuck about children being slaughtered, they'll engage in these sorts of hoaxes to disrupt the lives of citizens and create situations where people become complacent to the threats that allow more mass shootings to happen.

Uhh...people literally regret medical procedures all the time. Virtually every single medical procedure involves some potential amount of harm/risk.
So much in fact that there are literally research studies on it.

I'd venture to guess there are more people as a percentage that regret their knee/hip replacements than there are people that regret their transition.

There's just way too much money being tossed around so you're going to see all sorts of losers come out of the wood work to get in on the grift.
Candace Owens was probably the first person to successfully get in on the right wing grift machine and became the model for how to pull it off.
It's super easy to do and especially profitable if you fall into a minority group.
This pickme conservative is going to make bank on their grift now that conservatives have ramped up their genocidal trans rhetoric.

Honestly surprised DeSantis didn't bring this criminal into his administration and put him in charge of the state's economy.

They'll also throw in some smear about a random Democratic party member and one of their nuts will show up at their house and try to kill them. Then they'll feign ignorance.

It would be a nice little test for a coach to bust out a Muslim prayer rug prior to playing. How long would that last?

None of that matters it's all about the firehose of falsehoods that the right wing uses.
Throw out a bunch of bullshit and eventually creates so much confusion among those who may not be paying attention that they either tune out or accept one of those falsehoods.

Book is called "A Little Piece of Ground":
> Twelve-year-old Karim Aboudi and his family are trapped in their Ramallah home by a strict curfew. In response to a Palestinian suicide bombing, the Israeli military subjects the West Bank town to a virtual siege. Meanwhile, Karim, trapped at home with his teenage brother and fearful parents, longs to play football with his friends.
> When the curfew ends, he and his friend discover an unused patch of ground that’s the perfect site for a football pitch. Nearby, an old car hidden intact under bulldozed building makes a brilliant den. But in this city there’s constant danger, even for schoolboys. And when Israeli soldiers find Karim outside during the next curfew, it seems impossible that he will survive.
This is literally the reality of the situation in the region.

Same thing with the "inflation" issue. Corporations likely decided to fuck over the consumers to make up for the lower profits in 20-21, found that most people didn't change their spending habits because people still need to live.
They saw their quarterly reports and decided to say fuck it, keep the prices high and continue the screwing of consumers/workers.

One of the theories about why Qanon was pushed so heavily in right was to help cover up international sex trafficking.
It may have been a way to hurt actual child trafficking investigations by flooding the system with claims and forcing investigators to decipher what was real and false. In fact there are actual stories about the movement hurting operations.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9531675/
Given the orgins of Qanon it would make sense. Jim Watkins the suspected creator of the conspiracy theory at one point was hosting a CP site.
