Haven’t seen that thing in a while - this is what really got me into higher end keyboards even though I’ve never owned one of these. Still looks amazing almost 3 years later

Must admit I was only getting it for the solenoid initially because I thought it would look cheap but I’ve been loving it so far. Also it’s a beast at 4.5kg and sounds surprisingly nice

That’s what I’m saying - it’s not like you’re depriving the manufacturer of genuine ones of potential profit if they are oos lol. Also no plastic is worth $120+ lol even the most expensive one. QC is also an arguable point - GMK spacebar are warped af. I have 3 GMK sets and all 3 have warped spacebars to a certain extent

The argument of clones vs genuine has been out there since pretty much the beginning. I’m kinda in the middle of both camps and understand both sides. Yes when someone copies any design it harms the designer generally but on the other hand especially with GMK it’s not that you can get them anyways most times if you miss the GB. Also GMK wait time is just ridiculous. Also even though there are straight up rip offs I personally wouldn’t consider keycaps that just share the same color clones unless all mods and legends are also exactly the same. Especially I don’t get it when people call WOB keycaps GMK clones but Polycaps (esp Seal which are essentially modo without color mods) even though they are made by the same factory

I’ve never understood what people are talking about re difference in sound of PBT vs ABS - I have a couple GMK sets (100% sure they are ABS right) and a coupe, of other sets that I know for fact are PBT or mostly PBT (most PBT sets still contain ABS to make colors more vibrant) and on the same board with the same switches I doubt I’d be able to tell a difference blindfolded. Kinda hoping these are PBT since I’m getting these for an office build. At the same time they are like $25 a set so I could just keep getting a new set every half a year or so lol

Pretty sure these are the new Aifei icons keycaps. Gotta say these look amazing for the price. Are these ABS or PBT? There’s some confusion about this since some listings say ABS and some say PBT
