Why not get an adapter so you don’t need to switch out cables?

I’ve seen people say the treble has been bothersome for them and then others say the treble hasn’t been a problem. Luckily for me the treble hasn’t been an issue which is odd because I consider myself to have sensitive ears.

Yeah I’ve gotten aftermarket cables from Fog City Audio and have been very happy with the quality. They don’t tangle, good terminations, can even get custom splitters.

Glad you’re enjoying them! I was pleasantly surprised by the bass I got out of them from certain tracks. Compared to my LCD-2’s these things feel like a feather on my head.

I had accumulated a fair amount of budget DAC’s and amps so I decided to put the stuff I don’t use up on eBay. All told, I raised about $1200 dollars so I took that and bought a 109 Pro as well as a Matrix Audio Mini-i Pro 3 and considered the difference as an Xmas gift to myself. The Matrix adds a lot of versatility, connection wise, while being a very clean looking all in one unit. In terms of the 109 Pro’s, I love the sound! It provides a great contrast to my darker LCD-2’s. My only gripes against the 109 Pro is I hate the rubbery cable, so I’m gonna get an aftermarket one, and the black finish inside the wooden cups seems to be made of plastic. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how much I love the headband. It applies enough tension to keep the headphones secure on my head while not giving me a migraine. It’s very well done.
Just another chapter in my audio journey.
Does anyone else have the Matrix DAC/Amp or the 109 Pro? If so, what are your thoughts on them?

Sounds like you might prefer the HD650 or the new Meze cans.

I like it quite a bit. It’s not very sensitive in case you accidentally hit the volume pot while out and about but still fast enough to increase and decrease volume as needed. I see APOS has it on sale right now for $169.

About a month ago I got the Thieaudio Oracle Mk I’s to replace my Blessing 2’s, which were a bad fit in my ear. I was uneasy about spending $500+ on an IEM, but I’m happy to say I love this set very much. The treble is good but not fatiguing (I am very sensitive to a hot treble), and the mids and bass are very nice too. It’s an overall really nicely tuned set that fits great in my ear. I love taking these with the Go Blu on my lunchtime sanity walks and even use them on my Switch.

This is my question too. Door closed and at a non-deafening level shouldn’t be a problem at all.
