During the dinner scene in A Clockwork Orange, the level of wine in Alex's glass varies from shot to shot, and it was claimed that this was intended to create a disorienting feeling. I think it's more likely that the insane perfectionist in Kubrick couldn't stand it when this flub was noticed and just had to provide a reasonable explanation.
That's just my thought on that movie, it might be true as far as The Shining goes.

Yeah, they thought that E.T. looked ugly and repulsive. They ended up kicking themselves while the Reese's folks danced in a rainstorm of money.

Weird Al became a vegetarian too, but he still played at high-profile BBQ cook-off events. His head his nowhere near his rear, and yes I know about his love of yoga.

What the hell? Did they also physically attack other kids for beating them in the game?

Man lives
in a sunlit world
of what he believes to be
reality.
But,
there is—
unseen by most—
an underworld.
A place that's just as real,
but not as brightly lit.

At least there's still the first two, and Manhunter. Love those.

I went to see Hannibal when I was 14. There was a group of twenty-somethings in there who laughed at different parts of the movie, and as I passed them in the lobby afterwards, they were still laughing while doing mocking renditions of the opera vocals from the score. Considering how much I hate that movie (and the book), their reaction is still funny to me.
