The worst thing is losing your companions.

A month or so ago somebody suggested that politicians should have a retirement age. If I remember right they were talking about how so many of our politicians were a generation or two older than the vast majority of the working people. Therefore making decisions for a group of people they were out of touch with. At first I thought it was a little unjust, but then I've thought about it more and more and I think they were really on to something. I'm a boomer (70F) of good intelligence, lots of life experiences, relative good health, etc. and I have trouble remembering names mostly but other stuff as well. I don't know the number of our congress and other political office holders that are in their upper 70's or older, but I think there is quite a few that are more than likely at least in my state if not worse. I'm not sure I trust them anymore to make our nation's decisions. I think a top age limit might me in our best interest.

I love how a big tall guy who is strong as all get out can touch you with a soft gentle touch.

Reply to Hunters of Reddit: What was the first thing you killed, how old were you, and how do you remember feeling? by BigBadZord
I shot a deer when I was thirty. My husband had started bow hunting so I took the rifle I had bought him and shot my own. The feeling I had was that I had tortured the animal. I shot him first in the backside and he ran about a mile. The second shot I broke a leg. Then he sat down in a small ravine and I knelt down and got a better shot for the kill. I never hunted again since I wasn't a good enough to kill him with one shot. I didn't care enough for hunting to practice enough to get good.
