If you don’t like it after a few episodes, that’s not going to change. Nothing wrong with that. Personally I think it’s one of the best things I’ve watched. Nothing wrong with that either.

I couldn’t get through the first episode. Ham-handed and cringy. And that’s from someone who believes in climate change.

Mostly looking forward to the actor playing G Gordon Liddy and his pornstache.

It’s violent. People get shot and bitten and eaten. Characters commit suicide. Children get infected and have to be put down.

Back in 2006. In 2019 that changed. Council actually increased funding for trimming in the last couple of years, and is now asking where that money went.

Dunno why you’re being downvoted. This statement is true. He recently ignored the city council request to put together a short term (one year) police contract so that citizens could vote on oversight proposals in the pipeline. Instead, he put together a four year contract that favored the police and presented it to the council.

Cronk was also responsible for making sure the trees were trimmed or the power lines buried. He did a half assed job.

Austin residents have wanted him out ever since the police force here injured civilians and bystanders during the BLM protests. He didn’t do anything about that either.

Bring back the frog!

There’s plenty of room for wind and solar. Have you seen all the empty land in the US? Or the projects where solar panels are installed over aqueducts to prevent evaporation? Or the farms where crops, livestock, and solar panels share space? What about all the roofs on top of homes, office buildings, schools, and shopping centers? Covered parking lots? Etc etc.

And when we run out of land, there’s space in the water off the coasts.

Honestly I hate that trope. It’s a shortcut for lazy writing and rarely well done. Frequently it comes off as total cheese.

Showtime should just be a “channel” on Paramount+. Similar to how IFC and Shudder are channels on AMC+. I dunno why high paid marketing execs have to make such a mess of things.

Great talent elevates things to a new level. It’s a simple show, but the entire ensemble turned it into something special.

Dexter — stop watching before you get to season X. Where X varies depending on who you ask.

Westworld — watch season 1 then stop.

Handmaids Tale — watch season 1 then stop.

Expanse — the first two or three episodes are strangely dull. Stick with it as it picks up after that.

I would say yes. Still a good show except for the last season (which got ridiculously soapy).
