Off peak rates are coming to encourage demand shifting. As are heat pumps.

Yeah but the Rent has 40,000 seats, Meadows only has 7500 seats the rest are lawn tix. Even if only 60% of those are usable due to stage setup, that is still 24,000 seats. Add in GA floor tickets on the field and you have similar capacity vs the Meadows just inverse seating vs GA ratios. That being said I don't think East Hartford wants concerts there. State should demolish it and rebuild in Storrs where it belongs. Or cancel the football program altogether.

And significantly more carbon, all for lack of pipeline capacity. It is absurd.

It was 2% last year. After 2018 near disaster of a winter, ISO got serious about fuel reserves. Now we have multiple dual fuel plants that can switch from natgas to fuel oil during extreme cold when natgas gets priority to heating demand.
It really should be 0% oil and 0% coal at this point but multiple reasons why we're not there yet.

Pay with your credit card. They are not legally allowed to charge the fee associated with processing it and you can get credit card reward points for something you have to pay for anyways.
