Almost every day, I hear or read the "no massholes or transplants" or "if you come here is under our terms" remarks. This state is full of "closeted" bigots or "passively racist." The jacked-up prices for housing, electricity, and gas prevent minorities from moving. Also, the pride people feel here for keeping things the way they prevent progress will put off potential movers. As a minority transplant, I feel this state is stuck in limbo, and natives promote it.

There are several NH hiking groups on FB that schedule group hikes based on experience. Hiking Buddies NH 48 is a great one.

I think is a combination of factors.
- disposable income
- attitude toward remodeling
- aging state that is not growing = less new construction
I'm trapped; I moved here six months ago, and I don't feel like spending 600k is worth it when I'm buying something that belongs in a museum that's using fucking oil or stoves to heat my home.
