None of the top comments are answering the question! Clearly it is a balance, as the immune system was just trained on one pathogen, but it is in general weakened due to the illness. Given the prevalence of the cold with respect to other illnesses (in developed countries, as OP took off work) which is it? Are they more or less likely to come down with something?
