That flag thing

You mean being patriotic and flying our country’s flag in our country?

EDIT: it’s hilarious to be downvoted in America for supporting American flags on poles. You people are gross

Montpelier has so many cute little shops and great restaurants, as well as, plenty of hotels and motels to stay in. It’s not too far of a drive to a few great ski resorts too. But I may be partial to the area because I live around there lol.

Thank you for the suggestions. I’ve lived all over the country and I’ve been lucky to try so many local flavors. I just feel disappointed with the places I’ve tried here. But I’m still looking to try more restaurants and you’ve given me a great list.

My husband and I took our kids there a couple of years ago for a spur of the moment drive. We only stopped for gas and drinks. Thank you for the suggestion, we plan on going and trying it out!

I have a few driving tips for those that live here. It may not be because you are aggressive driving but I am cut off several times per day. Learn how to use a rotary and a four way stop sign. Please do 40 MPH in the 40, not 30 and then speed up to 40 in the 25 MPH. Lastly, green means go and red means stop. It’s crazy that your foot can’t find the gas at a green light but can floor it on red and almost cause some serious accidents.

I have had a couple of places in Burlington that were amazing but there is not enough variety. I feel like I’ve tasted the same thing over and over again with just the name of the restaurant being different.

I actually laughed out loud at this. I love Vermont but it needs to step up it’s game. It’s all the same, flavorless blobs. Boston/Massachusetts has many different cultures and I grew up trying so many different amazing foods. Vermont is just a lot of people that pretend they know what they are doing in the kitchen.

I’m from Boston and have been super disappointed in the restaurants here. Most places do not know what seasoning is. I miss good food. You will be very disappointed in the quality of most restaurants.

When my family first moved to Vermont our landlord was moving back his home country. He asked his neighbor to collect rent from the tenants and contact local companies for repairs such as plumbing. She was basically a property manager. Maybe you could hire a trusted friend to be your property manager and you could maybe post on FPF that you are interested in someone that does maintenance work that could handle repairs for your tenants.
