Shoes aren't really BIFL in my opinion. They can be resoled and conditioned if they're leather, but they get worn out and need to be replaced if you want cushion between you and the ground.
Olukai is just kind of squishy. Rainbows are okay after the break-in period, but you have to have narrow-to-normal feet. Reef is my absolute favorite at this price point.

I heard on a podcast a guy got checked after his child was diagnosed with type 1 and the dad found out he himself was likely to develop it as an adult. Adult-onset type 1 diabetes. So this would be perfect for him.

They do! Lots of modern workarounds these days. Depends on the specific church/pastor within the religion I think. Like, if someone else charges the computer they can type on it. I don't have a rec, sorry! But I bet you can find an actual Amish person.
