This makes me very sad. I wanted so much for their culture to be alive and spreading goodness to their own without our interference. But I guess life never really works that way.

not op, but I thought Moloka'i was the native Hawaiians only island that only allowed outsiders by invitation only so they could preserve culture and lifestyle closer to the ancient teachings.

Sleeper cells don't have coordinated goals. That's why they make effective terrorists.

So you hate democracy and want to impose your "correct" will on all of PST who already voted on what they want? Did you really just propose that? I don't think you want to assign yourself time dictator and try to overtake the world, right? Surely something is being lost in transition?

We have 7.5 hours of cloudlight. We are going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark. It doesn't matter.
In summer it matters very much to have extra light after work.
Besides, we've already voted. WA OR CA and Canada's PST regions approved DST forever several years ago.
The only thing standing in our way is FL rep's pushing nationwide DST. Which hilariously accidentally already passed in the Senate. Congress hasn't bothered with it.
I think it's the wrong approach. Currently any state can opt out of DST, but due to poorly worded legislation, can't opt in permanently.
State's right you do you. It's so bizarre that wasn't the proposed model.

If some jackass shot up my high school I sure as hell wouldn't be showing up compliantly for math class. You can't learn jack sitting around terrified.
If a friend was wounded or killed before my very eyes at a place supposedly safe for us, no way in hell would I not be out there making my voice heard.
I may be an old fart now, but back then? No f'ing way would I not be taking action even it seemed futile to so called adults who aren't as hopping mad as I would have been.

Neurolinguistics and hypnosis has been using this since the 70's. They use the term anchor. Anything can become an anchor for emotional state. And there are techniques to "program" anchors into the brain.
Sadly the mental health sciences didn't pay as much attention to NLP as salespeople and advertisers did. So it became a force for manipulation alongside NLP practitioners using it purely to help people.
Yes it is a dangerous and double-edged sword. Luckily though, awareness of it is also a remedy for it. Anchors can be neutralized or reprogrammed.
So if you ever run across an evil hearted monster who anchors nightmares into your brain, find a reputable NLP coach to help you undo it.

I keep wondering if humans were still a nomadic species, would anyone still be here.
But there’s nowhere to go. North, South, East, offshore, smoke from everywhere is converging in our convergence zone.
Seriously though, I hope everyone who needs one has air purifiers and adequate replacement filters.
