I wouldn't recommend it if you're a BIPOC. My family experienced a lot of racism during our brief time living there. They're so good at being racist, they even made national news several times!

I live on Lyon and I'm a single female. During the day, it's super safe. At night - especially when I'm walking home from downtown, I am extremely cognizant of my surroundings. I've never had anything sketchy happen to me, but I know there were some muggings years ago (A friend of a friend was walking home after working at a restaurant at night and was jumped).

Once during a lunch break in the middle of winter, I was sitting the Wooster park by myself and a random man started walking towards me, saying something that I couldn't quite make out. He was twice my size and with no one around, I got nervous and walked away. No matter what, as women, we have to always be super careful.
