Radon mitigation first. If it's that old it was not designed as livable space. It was designed to store things and root vegetables.

It wouldn't be part of the foundation then. So there is a big difference between floors and foundations. Foundations carry the load of the structure. If you just have a 2 inch slab and it's not connected to the walls it's not part of the foundation. You'd best go down to the planning office and get your blueprints and then go to whoever approves building permits and ask them what steps you need to do to follow code. This isn't something you want to wing or guess at.

If they did, it is worth whatever the cost is. A spy leaving their operation may abandon a lot of valuable property. The intent was to always go home and anything acquired along the way is temporary and disposable. Better to dispose of any sum of money or property than be disposed of yourself.

This isn't for load support. Those brackets are to make sure you don't slide the dishwasher when opening and closing the door or sliding the baskets with heavy pots.

Heck no. Still bits are generally purpose built for specific materials. I would not use a bit for stone on stainless steel. That's how you get work hardened stainless. Which is a pain to work with because it's so dang hard.

Remove bulb. Gently pull down that housing since it'll be clipped on the ceiling drywall. Then you should be able to access the fan to see what is up. Probably a bad motor.

Maybe it's states penalized employers for hiring illegal immigrants they would stop coming. Maybe if employers stopped giving them our jobs we'd all be better off and paid more fairly.

That's not how laws work. It's unconstitutional plain and simple. The laws of immigration and the border are the sole domain of the federal government. Period. The states would get sued and wind up in federal court where they would soundly lose even with the most conservative judges.

I know. It drives me nuts when I see people DIY without. I get that it's an extra cost and all, but as I've said before: Fire bad, mold bad, electric shock bad. I fully support learning as you DIY, but there are some things you just don't want to wing it.
