This feels like the writer had an idea for a headline, and then needed to stretch the definition of "toy" and "based on" as far as possible to write something to fit the headline. It is absurd to call D&D a "toy".

There is also FleshEater (1988), a sequel(ish) written and directed by Bill Hinzman, who played the cemetery zombie in NotLD. He reprises his part in it, as does one of the posse guys.
