The Snowboarding at Snowbird (right next to Alta) was absolutely fantastic.
I wouldve went to Alta but they are afaik one of the last 3 remaining resorts in the US that don't allow snowboarding, 1 other is also in Utah at Deer Valley and the 3rd is in Vermont I think somewhere way up in the north of the state

No
Sewage pumps have special impeller blades
They're more like a cross between a garbage disposal and a sump pump

Its ok though, I don't expect anyone under 30 to know what a stamp is

Peoppe that are unhinged enough to do this should be put on some kind of FBI watchlist
And I'm not even making a statement against the rightwingers per sey (let's be real though, it's like 90% crazy right wing people) even if it's left wing type stuff, it's still super unsettling and a pretty unhinged to tape a bunch of poorly made signs all over your car and drive around like that forevermore
Do you think he replaces them soon? They're lookin pretty ratty....or does he just keep adding more tape to them until they disintegrate?

Yeah.....I have a Yorkie and he doesn't do well in the cold.
Its because they have hair not fur, and it's just the one layer, it doesn't insulate them at all
My Black Lab however was outside today in 8*F weather for almost an hour, unfazed and refusing to come inside, I had to go out there and play with him and corral him into the house lol.....He will just lay down in the snow and hang out there for ridiculous long times....2 layer winter fur is a good insulator

That's pretty hyperbolic, yes, definitely not "destroying america"
BUT- from all I've heard and read and listened to security-related people it needs to go. There is direct evidence from the mouths of the US based executives that China is getting all the data and makes all the decisions cite
Its really not good that the CCP has direct access to all that data and has the ability to shape narratives by algorithm manipulation.....It doesn't take much to move the needle on social manipulation, and the last people I'd like manipulating us is the Chinese Government

Fully get what you are saying, this is just a more accurate "in the weeds" extrapolation of what I'm saying because that serious wind sheer is caused by big temperature differences

This is like the cynical politician bringing a snowball to a meeting about global warming lol and why "global warming" fell out of favor even though it's true on average
Its a matter of WHERE.....Some places will get warmer, some will get wetter, some will get drier, Climate Change is far more accurate
As other people have said Tornadoes are caused by differences in temperature, we have some crazy conditions in the US for Tornadoes, we have hot air and cold air slamming into each other across the country and that causes a lot of Tornadoes, as that air temperature evens out there is less chaos to cause those vortices to form
We say there is going to be (and we see already) an increase in "severe weather events" but that doesn't necessarily mean "More Tornadoes" in America but it will mean more massive flooding, more wild thunderstorms, bigger Hurricanes, longer droughts, snowstorms in places that never got them and no snow in places where it always snows and it might very well mean that somewhere else might get more Tornadoes as things shift around....things may calm down in some places and ramp up in others, but its going to change everywhere

I was in Iraq for 2y as a civilian DoD Contractor (Construction) and the local food was amazing. Same in the UAE
I just wish these places were safer for Westerners, I would definitely spend my tourism dollars in these spots

Right?
Look at fucking Qatar right now with those absolutely insane, Medieval requirements to vist the country....
Fuck all that man....and I've spent a couple months total over my 42y in Kuwait, and Dubai and Sharjah in the UAE and I have to say- I was a bit uncomfortable in those places in the Middle East simply because the Governments and rules are so fucking nutty, and some of the people can be openly hostile to western people (my personal experience in Kuwait)

There are a lot of countries I would love to visit in that part of the World just for the world history stuff, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria etc but I would never go because fuck all that shit
Both because of the extremists in the population and because the Governments in those places are just fucking nuts....your taking your life in your hands as a Westerner going to these places imo
And yeah....I get it, the vast majority of the people in these countries would be welcoming and kind but I'm not taking the risk of being beheaded, kidnapped or locked up as a political prisoner....would love to go for the culture and historical sites and "normal" people but nah....hard pass

The more I thought about it the more I realized it doesn't really matter tbh because it's not really the point of the graph- which is to simply illustrate how much the interest rates matter to affordability....and it drives that point home pretty effectively

But it's part of the monthly cost of buying a home.
If you can afford a $1000 a month payment you really can't afford a $1000 a month mortage payment because your monthly payment is more Like 1600 a month figuring taxes and insurance(in my case....well, mine is more like 1200 but whatever)
I bring this up because it effects the total cost of the home you can actually afford
6700 is cheap in NJ, I have friends that pay 2x and 3x that....their tax bill alone is about a 1000-1500 a month
It just sets the entry bar lower
I get what you are trying to illustrate though- that the interest rate effects the overall cost far more than people realize....well, people who haven't lived under anything but the unsustainable and unrealistic interest rates of the last 20 or so years
