It is better for the environment to keep an old vehicle running, cash for clunkers in the U.S. and the push for evs are nothing more than a mask to drive profits for these large corporations.
Everything in the future will be a subscription, because it is more profitable. Do not buy smart appliances, because soon they will be subscription based. Want to flush your toilet, use your dishwasher, take a shower, use a coffee maker or water kettle, stove or microwave....Literally everything is going to be on a subscription.

All this does is further delegitimatize the Nobel Prize as it is awarded to individuals. After Obama, the guy who invented the lobotomy, and Henry Kissinger...The award is all but meaningless.
Now they ban ambassadors to nations the West is angry with, introducing more political bias into an event that has desperately been trying to isolate itself from political bias and influence.
Good Job! A+

It will need to be a lot more than millions of people starving before you will see action, millions of people are already starving. 20 million people are food insecure in Yemen. Millions of people are currently food insecure in the U.S. There is a high rate of food insecurity in Europe. Billions of people will have to die from starvation in a short amount of time, in order for humanity to act...and even then it is uncertain that it would.
We are already seeing poor crop production due to climate issues, Instead of addressing these issues we have decided to compound and make these issues worse.
The only real solution is population reduction, which goes against our very biology as a species. Globally as a species we would need to reduce the amount of our offspring, reducing our population by billions.
A lot of people had kids who should not have had kids...Population explosion pretty much doomed the human race, there is no logistical way to solve this issue. The lucky people are going to die before things get bad, If you have any heart at all you will not be having children.

Reply to comment by Futuroptimist in Question: can hydrogen replace gas piped to homes for cooking and heating? by BW6611
They started using plastic for natural gas mains in the 60s, the biggest challenge would be in older residences...Code changes are required all the time and people change out appliances frequently.
People do not like the idea of burring gas for purely ideological reasons, there is nothing practical or logical behind the opposition to hydrogen energy.

Reply to South Korean researchers say they have developed an anode-free lithium-ion battery that is 40% more energy dense than existing batteries and will enable EVs to travel 630km (390 miles) on a single charge. by lughnasadh
The Congo is projected to run out of cobalt in around 15 years as production rates increase, so new technologies will need to be developed. For vehicles and dense urban areas the technology that facilitates fast charging or quick refueling will determine which technology moves forward...not necessarily energy density and longer mileage. either cheaper economy evs with small batteries, hybrids, evs that are able to charge at high rate, or a move to hydrogen.

USB-C has little standardization...You can potentially damaged your electronics connecting the wrong powerbrick and usb-c cable to your devices due to the wide range of power the cable can supply, 5v at 3a to 48v at 5a.
If they wanted to they could update USB-C to 2.0, 3.0, and on and on. There is no need to develop an entirely new format with a different connector and port design.

It seems like you are ideologically invested in hydrogen not working. The science does not support your statement. The reality is that electric battery powered vehicles are not sustainable for a variety of reasons. Unless there is a technological breakthrough, Hydrogen will replace battery powered evs.
