The Warp & Weft frequently has great acts on stage. And their food is top notch.
I've never actually been in the Worthen, but they host a side-festival during Folk Fest, and had some awesome indie acts last year.
Also heard good things about Mill No 5

Red Rose Restaurant just won a James Beard Award. Haven't actually been yet - we were going to go with friends this month, but they had a family emergency pop up.
