Prior to this post the only thing I ever heard about Ferry County was that Loren Culp came from there.
I guess it all checks out.

Background checks show convictions on your criminal record. As far as I know an arrest that didn't result in a conviction would never be found in a criminal background check done for employment purposes.

Catholic priests will never follow the law on this. They have their own “canon law” and will do whatever their bishops say first before they go to the cops. When’s the last time you heard of a priest going to the cops to report a priest abusing kids? It never happens. They follow the same wagon-circling protocol absolutely everywhere. Europe, South America, Australia, US, doesn’t matter where. It’s astonishing how consistent catholic priests’ behavior is on this point.

Wtf are you talking about? You just proved you know nothing about the PNW, or the Midwest for that matter.

One time in college my roommate and I killed an entire case of 16-Oz longneck bottles of Schaefer beer while watching “Urban Cowboy”. That is basically the best beverage-movie pairing imaginable. We agreed that was a top notch movie watching experience.

Have you seen the rest of America? This place is pretty nice. You couldn’t pay me to live n most of the US but here is pretty good. Good food, good jobs, good airport, mild weather, good connectivity, good schools and universities, uniquely beautiful scenery, I could go on. Seriously go take a trip to Tennessee or somewhere cheaper. You’ll understand why it’s cheaper.

They wanted to hear his spiel so bad, they should have scheduled it sometime when he wasn’t busy being extradited and arraigned, and what have you.

Reply to comment by ardesofmiche in A Hiker and His Puppy Were Shot Dead on a Remote Washington Trail; Investigation Has Been as Strange as the Killings by ExtraNoise
I think there are other explanations that make sense. If I’m not mistaken, when someone is unlucky enough to get shot in the heart, death is pretty much immediate and the heart stops pumping instantly, and without blood pressure there’s actually not really any blood. People bleed out from gunshots that don’t hit critical organs, because their hearts keep pumping for quite a while. It’s a crazy story either way with tons of obvious information missing. Hope the Washington State Patrol or FBI can step in to investigate the sheriff. Sounds like they were something much worse than incompetent.

well that is alarming because they have guns. If you are having a public event with crowds and lots of alcohol, and you need armed security, I kind of feel like that ought to be real police, not armed mall cops.

Reply to A study using eggs reveals why Italian Renaissance masters – artists such as Sandro Botticelli and Leonardo da Vinci – might have added protein to their oil paintings. by molrose96
I’m a little surprised the way this is written as if it’s some kind of discovery that egg protein was found in paint. Painters have been using egg tempera technique for a really long time. I’m no art expert but I did catch an Andrew Wyeth exhibit once and I remember they talked about this a lot. I thought it was well understood how this worked.
