Reply to Currently got an XR, does everything I need it to and feels more than quick enough still. However, battery health is down to 77% but is still supporting peak performance. My question is replace battery or run it into the ground and get a newer model when she dies? by dooksy72
I’d get a new battery. Especially when when you live in colder climates since cold has a big impact on your battery. You want to avoid sudden shutdowns

Would be if Apple sent it to servers or did anything with it that wouldn’t benefit the user. It stays on the phone and Apple doesn’t do anything with it other than speed things up locally for users.
