Female authors write about feelings, and male write about events. Yes, I am generalizing a lot. But you get the point. In movies as well, you can tell pretty fast if it was written by a man or woman.

If you compare the books to the movies than with that logic the lord of the ring books are comics compare to the 6 movies and series.

The books had sold over 15 million as of 2019. It is more than likely 50 in total in 2022. Lord of the ring sold 150, and the game of thrones sold 90 million. So my question remains.
It's easily one of the best selling fantasy series of all time.
Edit. The game has sold 65milion in total. So your statement is not correct.

Did not say plot. I said events. Example. Female author: he feels a deep connection towards the potrost. He jurned for it to become a part of his soul.
Male author: he threw himself against the potrost, deworing in it entirety.
Silly example, but that's what I mean.
